Black Francolin Skin, these are Indian Partridges and the feathers are somewhat similar in texture to Hungarian Partridge. The unusual colors can make for some interesting soft hackles. Black heads with white spots, back is ginger with black. Black zebra marked saddle. Awesome soft hackles. These are game birds and pelts can have imperfections. If you are looking for a perfect grade 1, this isn’t it. Very rare and hard to locate.

Black Francolin are Asian Partridges and these are male skins. The Saddle has barred feathers and the sides have black tipped/edged feathers. These are bit smaller than a partridge, about the size of a quail. The head is small, somewhat unusual. These are hard to locate and the colors can vary from what is shown.
