These are extra long saddle hackles. These are quite rare and very difficult to get. These are extra long 12-17″ and tie size 10-14. These are softer hackles with long fibers. Ideal for flat wings, long pike and musky patterns. These can be used for dry flies, parachutes or commercial tying.
For Jewelers and fashion customers these are the choice for making earrings and hair extensions. You get the complete patch with 200-250 feathers.
( Please note: I am selling the saddle and I do not count number of feathers , each piece is one of a kind and no 2 are a like. These animals are treated ethically but there is no way to harvest the hackle without harvesting the pelt. Loose hackles from other vendors are plucked from harvested patches. Photos are representational only. I do not photograph each piece. )
