Inspired by western guides using small balloons as strike indicators to improve buoyancy and sensitivity. The Thingamabobber combines all of the best strike indicator elements in one simple design. We use the very large size for right angle salmon fishing to keep flies off the the bottom. Originally the right angle style was done with combed poly rope. Many of the other indicators are too small to suspend heavy flies.

Instructions: Fold the leader in half, insert the loop through the tab , pull the Thingambobber through the loop and secure. Loosen the loop to move up or down. Ideally, the fly should suspend off the bottom, if you are dragging and catching, move up.
