Catskill Fly Fishing Center Events: We will be
doing some exciting events at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center, Old Rt 17,
Livingston Manor, NY, May 18, 2013Come join us for an exciting class and seminar with Martin Jorgensen of founder of the Global Fly Fisher web site. Martin is from Copenhagen Denmark and is a seasoned photographer. His photos have appeared in books, magazines as well as his web site, The Global Fly Fisher. For the first time, Martin will be offering a unique seminar showing his techniques to photograph flies. Martin will demonstrate how to set up lights, set the camera and how to get fantastic pictures every time. As bonus, students can bring their own fly, have a photograph taken and published on The Global Fly Fisher Web Site. Martin's unique abilities will show people of any skill how to set up lights, photograph and edit fly photos. Fee for this class is $50 with a limit of 20 students. A portion of the fees will be contributed to the Center's Wulff addition building fund. The class will be at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center, Saturday May 18 from 10am to 12am.

Global Get Together, Catskill Fly Fishing Center, May 18 1pm to 4pm : Join us for the first ever Global Get Together. The Founding Members of the Global Fly Fisher web site and friends, are coming to visit the Center for a fly tying demonstration. Global Fly Fisher Site founders, Martin Jorgensen Bob Petti and Steve Schweitzer, will be joining Mike Hogue and Richard Ross. Martin will be showing many of his favorite Danish sea trout flies, while Steve will be demonstrating his newest flies from Colorado and Bob will be tying many classic Northeastern Flies. Richard will be showing how to tie many of his Pennsylvania snowshoe favorites and Mike Hogue will be showing some of his latest flies for fishing New York Finger Lakes and Catskill streams. This is a special event May 18 from 1 to 4 pm.
Badger Creek Fly Tying Annual Open House,
Saturday June 8, 2013, 9am to 4 pm. We will be holding our annual Open
House a bit later this year due to various scheduling issues. Come out and
cast rods, check out the latest gear, shop for fly tying materials and load
up on flies that you didn't have time to order this winter. John Shaner
from Hardy/Greys will showing the latest rods, reels and gear from Hardy.
Guest fly tyers include: Joe Cambrige and Jim Froio from Syracuse. Carol
Farkus will be on hand for free casting tune ups and lessons. Free drawing
for many door prizes which include a free rod ( must attend to register,
winner need not be present at time of drawing ). Bring a friend and register
twice.
